The Blushing Oyster is a perfect Bed and Breakfast experience. All of the guest and public rooms look like they are from a photo spread from Traditional Home magazine. The decor is tasteful without being fussy and everything is fresh without any old house mustiness. Holly is the perfect hostess and has thought of everything a visitor might need. All of her suggestions were excellent and she has a good selection of tourist information, books, and videos. The room had a flat screen TV that we never turned on and WiFi. Even when all of the rooms were filled, it was still quiet. Usually when I return home from a vacation, I'm glad to be back in my own bed. Now that I'm home, I wish I was back with the plush European linens at the Blushing Oyster. Every morning, Holly serves an incredible breakfast on beautiful china. Usually there is a fruit course, entree such as frittata, or bread pudding with fruit sauce, or my favorite, oatmeal loaf. Seriously, this loaf will make you rethink oatmeal forever. Everything is seasoned perfectly, sometimes with fresh herbs from her garden and garnished with edible flowers. She also baked breads that were more like coffee cake. Many of the courses also had flavorful sauces. There was ample, convenient parking and the neighborhood behind the Inn was a nice quiet walk or bike ride to the salt marshes. There was free yoga on the commons an easy walk up the street on Wednesday mornings, and a nice nature trail leading to two lakes through the woods.

This review is so late and for that I apologize. This place is hands down a MUST! My husband and I drove the coast with my 80 yr old parents and happened upon this B & B after doing site checks on several of the surrounding B & Bs...one of which is down the road and carries many more reviews. I will tell you without hesitation, the experience here was phenomenal. The house is decorated to the t, the bedding, towels and all of the linens give the Ritz and Four Seasons a run for their money. Simply lush. The owner is pleasant and unobtrusive, but engaging if so desired. He was helpful in identifying the local haunts and spot on in his recommendations. The breakfast he cooked was so yummy and we never felt rushed. Along the course of our trip we stayed in approx 7 bed and breakfasts and by far this was collectively our favorite. I believe the owners name is Jim? So if you are reading this, please know we reflect upon our experience at your B & B every time we are with my parents in fond memory. Thank you for giving us an experience we will never forget and we are all wishing you well. Someday, we hope to cross paths again. (Btw, that night was my mothers birthday and it could not have been better! :)

My boyfriend and I just spent two lovely nights at The Blushing Oyster B&B and had a wonderful stay. We had the Wellfleet room, and like the rest of the house, it was decorated impeccably with antiques, beautiful paintings, and lots of nice touches that made us feel at home. The owners, Jim and Sue, couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. They gave us some good tips on local restaurants - a great Japanese place right across the street, and a couple of others within walking distance, and also gave us suggestions on different places to visit on the Cape. Breakfast was served at 9:00 and was yummy! They have a big round table where the guests can eat together. It was nice to meet everyone and talk about our travels. Definitely a great deal and I look forward to staying there again on our next visit to the Cape.

Beautiful old home that's been converted to a Bed and Breakfast. The owner has taken great care to think of everything. We stayed in the Salt Marsh room. The Queen bed was very comfortable as were the two high back arm chairs. Each room has its own a/c unit so you can make the room comfortable to your liking. The breakfast was outstanding. We started with a fresh melon "boat" (wish I had my camera!) followed by a delicious fresh artichoke and mushroom frittata with warm banana bread. We will definitely stay again

Perfectly appointed B & B with a delightful, accommodating and attentive host. One of the FEW B & Bs on the Cape that give you a FULL breakfast. A must place to stay.

Our first bed and breakfast experience and it was fantastic! Holly the inkeeper was lovely and so accommodating. The entire home was very clean and cozy. Our room as adorable and very comfortable. It felt as if we were staying at a friends house. The breakfast changes daily and is so yummy! We will definitely be going back.
